Over the years I have gone through different phases of my artistic background doing oil/acrylic painting, as well as drawing/sketching. But I found my true artistic passion in 2011 - sculpting. Since then I have been creating sculptures in clay (primarily animals), focusing on capturing the beauty and magnificence of animals.

My background is rich in experiences in helping and observing animals, from growing up in a rural environment raising numerous kinds of animals, to several years of hands-on wildlife rehabilitation volunteering. I have supported animal shelters in various ways for many years, and have been actively involved in organizations conserving wildlife and their habitat.

I am especially interested in uniquely capturing those static moments when an animal is on the cusp of intense movement, expression or contemplation, and bringing it to life in a permanent bronze medium. Each artist brings a unique perspective, and I hope you find mine appealing and enjoyable.

I have recently completed the build-out of my workshop in Berthoud, CO that includes the means to do my own bronze casting work in creating my bronze statues. Very few bronze sculptures today receive this kind of personal attention by the artist. I feel that there is something special about having the same artistic touches throughout the process beyond the clay work: doing the wax chasing and cleanup, metal chasing and welding, and application of the patina finishes.
